Locums Neuro ICU Nurse Practitioner Needed in New Orleans

Job description

Contract Length: 3 months
Schedule: 5, Night (8 Hours)

Clinic details
Practice Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Patient Volume: 10-20 patients, will not see them all but see based on acuity
Patient Population: Adult ICU (>18yo) with primary neurologic diagnosis
Support Staff: Nursing, RT, NCC attending, +/- additional APPs
Cases/Procedures: Perform incision and drainage of superficial abscesses. Perform dressing changes. Take wound cultures. Remove packing. Remove drains at direction of surgeons. Remove sutures at direction of surgeon. Insert and remove nasogastric tubes. Perform urinary bladder catheterization. Perform venous punctures. Perform critical care procedures on patients to include bag mask ventilation, laryngeal mask insertion.
