Family Medicine Physician – Outpatient Locum - Long Beach CA

Job description

A respected health system in the Long Beach area is seeking a Family Medicine Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to provide outpatient coverage at a busy clinic while a full-time provider is on maternity leave. This is a clinic-only assignment with strong administrative support and no on-call responsibilities.

Job Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (4 or 5 days/week)
- Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM
- Setting: Outpatient Primary Care Clinic
- Patients: All ages
- Daily Volume: 18–20 patients per day
- EMR: Epic
- Start Date: August 18, 2025
- Procedures: Common outpatient procedures a plus (e.g., biopsies, sutures)

Requirements:
- California Medical License (unrestricted)
- DEA certification
- BLS or ACLS
- 2+ years of outpatient primary care experience required
- Board Certification preferred but not required

Additional Notes:
- Local candidates within driving distance strongly preferred
- Familiarity with California medical regulations is essential
