About the clinician's workday
A locum pathologist is needed for MondayFriday coverage from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a 1:3 call schedule. Candidates must have AP/CP board certification. The role involves handling a variety of surgical pathology and cytopathology cases, with high volumes in breast, GI, GU, and GYN, as well as frequent GYN cytology. Hematopathology is not required. An active OR license is necessary, with WA and ID licenses preferred but not required.
Additional job details
- Case load/PPD: 80 Paraffin blocks a day and anywhere from5 to 40 cytology slides per day
- Support staff: Path Assistants (2), lab assistants and histo techs
- Call ratio/schedule: 1:3
