General and Cardiac Anesthesiologist Locum Opportunity in a North Carolina Hospital!
Positions Available:
General Anesthesiologists
Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Assignment Duration: Typically 6 months, with the possibility of extension
Candidate Requirements:
Must be licensed in North Carolina and hold an active NC license
Minimum of 2 years of experience in anesthesiology
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Preference for local candidates; no travel/lodging reimbursement unless submitting receipts (no stipends)
Previous employment at Mission Hospital as a W2 locum is not permitted
Schedule & Shifts:
General Anesthesia: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts (No call)
Cardiovascular Cases: 8-10 hour shifts (No call, no weekends)
Support staff: 1 MD with 3 CRNAs or 1 MD with 4 CRNAs
Care team model primarily supervisory; physicians may also choose to work independently
Case Mix & Responsibilities:
Busy OB, trauma, designated stroke center, vascular, neuro, urology, orthopedics
Must be able to perform peripheral nerve blocks
Average of 10-15 cardiovascular cases daily
EMR Systems: Cerner & AIMS
Credentialing & Privileging Timeframe: 60-90 days (cannot guarantee temporary privileges)
Additional Details:
No travel/lodging stipends provided; candidates must submit receipts for reimbursement if applicable
All candidates must have active NC licensure and at least 2 years of relevant experience
Compensation:
General Anesthesiologist: $450 / Hour
Cardiac Anesthesiologist: $550 / Hour
