Locum - Physician - Anesthesiologist Tampa, FL

Job description

We are seeking Board-Certified Anesthesiologists for a short-term locum opportunity covering multiple hospital locations in the Tampa Bay area. This is a high-demand need due to staffing coverage and offers a dynamic clinical environment with a broad range of surgical specialties. Clinicians must be available to start in June and must meet all credentialing requirements to qualify for expedited privileges.

Position Details:
Length of Assignment: 3 months to 9 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Call: Not required (optional)
Weekends: Not required (optional)
Shifts: Full-time availability required

Practice Highlights:
Practice at 3 cross-credentialed sites in the Tampa Bay region
Case Mix: All surgical specialties except trauma, transplant, and pediatrics
Caseload Split: ~50% care team model supervision / ~50% own cases
EMR: Epic (training held every Tuesday)
Total ORs across the system: ~90

Requirements:
Board Certification in Anesthesiology
Board Eligible candidates will not be accepted
Active Florida Medical License
Current DEA Registration

Clean professional history required:
No malpractice history or disciplinary actions
NPDB self-query required (must be submitted by the clinician)
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
Must have full-time open availability.
