Critical Care APP (NP or PA) – PRN Near Coastal Los Angeles

A respected academic hospital in California is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with ICU experience to provide PRN night coverage in a mixed med/surg intensive care unit. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking a low-frequency, high-acuity assignment in a collaborative yet autonomous setting.

Position Overview:
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• Contract Length: 3 months (with ongoing potential)
• Schedule: 1–3 night shifts/month (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Setting: 12-bed mixed med/surg ICU

Role Details:
• Independent overnight provider for all ICU patients
• New admissions, rounding, and management of existing patients
• Perform and manage critical care procedures
• Respond to and assist with Code Blue situations
• Backup available by phone from intensivists and fellows
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:
• Active California license
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of APP ICU experience
• Must be proficient in ventilator management, central and arterial lines; intubation experience strongly preferred
