We’re urgently seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage due to multiple staffing gaps, including medical leave, maternity leave, and recruitment delays. This role is based in a busy ICU with 18 beds and a dedicated APP team focused on MICU patients only. You’ll work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (day/night) with 2 APPs on during the day and 1 at night. Shifts are scheduled in blocks between June 29 and September 20, totaling approximately 35 shifts.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of Critical Care experience as an APP
Comfortable managing high-acuity ICU patients independently
Available for block scheduling through the summer
- Block scheduling with 12-hour shifts (day/night rotation)
- No call required
- Mixed ICU – APPs cover only MICU patients
