A large hospital in Maryland is seeking a Cardiac Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its CICU team on a locum tenens basis. This is a weekday-only opportunity with high acuity exposure, offering flexibility in scheduling and the option to obtain licensure for the right candidate.

Assignment Overview:
• Start Date: September 1, 2025 (or ASAP)
• Duration: 3–6 months
• Schedule: 3–4 shifts/week, 12 hours – Nights and Days Available
• Setting: Cardiac ICU, no OR or clinic time
• Facility Size: 480-bed hospital
• EMR: Cerner

Role Details:
• Rounding on cardiac surgery and post-op patients
• Responding to cardiac-related emergencies overnight (limited volume)
• Procedures required: Arterial catheter insertion, Central line insertion, Ventilator management
• No vein harvesting or transplant patients

Requirements:
• NP or PA with at least 1 year of cardiac critical care experience
• Active MD license preferred—but licensing support available if it can be obtained within 6 weeks
