Facility in Cumberland, MD seeking APP critical care locums coverage Rates: $130/hr Position: Nurse Practitioner – Critical Care Medicine Start Date: September 1, 2025 Duration: Ongoing until a permanent hire is made Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM, 10–14 shifts/month, Monday–Sunday Credentialing Timeframe: ~60 days Clinical Responsibilities: Independently manage ICU patients, including post-op cardiovascular and general critical cases Complete ICU admissions and write progress notes Round with nursing and surgical teams multiple times per night Initiate and manage appropriate orders and interventions Coordinate care with hospitalists and tele-ICU physicians Interpret labs/imaging and respond accordingly Manage patients with DKA, sepsis, pneumonia, and some trauma presentations Assist with transfers and emergency management in a Level III Trauma Center Facility Details: 18-bed open ICU Average ICU census: 8 patients In-house anesthesia available 24/7 Level III trauma designation Supported by tele-ICU at night EMR: Meditech Candidate Requirements: Credential: CRNP (only CRNPs will be considered) Experience: Minimum 1 year in critical care settings Licensure: Active Maryland license or IMLC (preferred) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA, CSR (required)
