Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Shift Details: Inpatient care 7a-6p or 8a-8p and night call 6p-8a, beeper or in house. Both are required
Schedule: Daytime (in unit) 7a to 6p or 8a to 8p. Night shift on call 6p-8a or in house
Work Details:
• Support Staff: RN, APP, Respiratory Therapist, PT/OT, Social Work, Case Management, Pharmacy. Decision Makers: Operation Administrators, Operations Managers, Physician Lead/Chair
• Team Structure: Day: 2 MD; Night: 1 MD
• Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: prefer FT providers but will consider consistent PT coverage in the area that asks for monthly coverage needed
• Patients per day: 13
• Patient Population/Age: Adults and Geriatric
• Department Description: Must have flexibility and be able to cope with a constant varying workload in a fast-paced environment; able to work effectively with nursing and physician staff in a professional manner; excellent communication skills and the ability to explain choices to patients and their families, as well as the capability to work under pressure while making quick, accurate decisions. 9:30 rounds with entire care team (RT, PT/OT, Social Work, Case Management, Pharmacy, Dietitian) when physically present in the ICU, the Intensivist runs codes (with backup from ED physician); otherwise, Hospitalist is in-house 24/7.

• Hospital Bed size: 15
• Skills Required: Thoracentesis, paracentesis, arterial and central lines, mechanical ventilation management and bronchoscopy (BAL and Therapeutic) and intubation.

Requirements:
• Board Certification: BC Critical Care or BC Internal Medicine
• License Required: Active MN License
• DEA: Required
• Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum Experience Required: 3-5 years work experience, or if they had a 2-year fellowship in Critical Care
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90days
