⏰ Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
💼 Contract Length: 6 months

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Endocrinologist for a full-time locum opportunity in Virginia. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule, an established patient panel, and the chance to work within a supportive team that prioritizes high-quality patient care.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (first patient at 8:20 AM)

Call Coverage: May be required every 3–4 months (to be discussed during interview)

Patient Load: 18–20 patients per day (20-minute follow-ups, 40-minute new patients)

Practice Setting: Primarily outpatient with inpatient consults as needed

Additional Duties: Assist in monitoring inbaskets

Credentialing: Approximately 120 days

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage endocrine and metabolic disorders

Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies

Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans

Educate patients on medication, lifestyle, and diet

Provide inpatient consultations when on call (no clinic patients during call weeks)

Collaborate with Diabetes Education and Nutrition Counseling teams

Requirements

MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Endocrinology

Active or eligible Virginia medical license

Proficient in managing Type 1 & Type 2 diabetes, including insulin pumps

Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
