Locum Endocrinologist Opportunity – Virginia
Job description
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Setting: Primarily Outpatient with some Inpatient consults
Join a well-established regional medical center in Virginia’s historic Fredericksburg community, conveniently located between Washington, D.C. and Richmond. This is an excellent full-time locum assignment providing stable daytime hours, collaborative support, and a balanced clinical load.
Highlights:
• Manage 18–20 patients per day
• 20-minute follow-ups, 40-minute new visits
• Shared call rotation every 3–4 months (no clinic when on call)
• Credentialing support (approx. 120 days)
• Support from a strong diabetes education and nutrition counseling program
• 100% adult endocrinology
• EMR & clinical team support for efficiency
Ideal Candidate:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
• Comfortable managing Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes (including insulin pumps)
• Strong communicator who values patient-centered care
• Available for a minimum 6-month commitment
• Holds an active VA license (or in process)
