Position: Gastroenterologist Hospitalist
Location: West Virginia
Start Date: ASAP after credentialing (approx. 4/21/25)
Contract Length: 120 days to 6 months
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, 7 days on / 7 days off
Shift Type: Full-time, inpatient hospitalist
Job Description:
A busy regional medical center in West Virginia is seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist Hospitalist to join their inpatient team. This role features a balanced 7-on/7-off schedule with strong APP support during weekdays and a collaborative weekend team for inpatient consults. The provider will manage 20–25 patients per day and perform general GI hospitalist procedures, including colonoscopies and EGDs, utilizing the Cerner EMR system.
Requirements:
Board Certification in Gastroenterology
Active or eligible for WV medical license (temporary license available)
DEA registration required
BLS & ACLS certifications
Prior GI hospitalist experience preferred
