Oncologist needed in North Carolina

📍 Medical Oncology Locum Opportunity | Outpatient Clinic | IMLC Welcome

We’re working with a community-based outpatient cancer center in need of a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist to provide coverage starting as soon as credentialed, with ongoing need until permanent recruitment is completed.

🩺 Position Overview:

Setting: Outpatient Medical Oncology Clinic (Hematology/Oncology)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (4–5 days/week)

Patient Load: 12–14 patients/day (new & return)

Responsibilities: Clinic visits, management of ongoing care, shared supervision of infusions

Support Team: 1–4 providers per shift, each with RN support; APP supervision preferred but not required

EMR: Epic

Procedures: Bone Marrow Biopsy preferred (not required)

🔍 Requirements:

Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology

IMLC-eligible candidates accepted

Flu vaccination required

Credentialing timeframe: approx. 90 days

Willingness to take inpatient call is optional—please indicate preference

• Ongoing for 6 months
• On call is optional
• Outpatient-Only Clinic: Focused, manageable caseload with strong RN and provider support
