Locum OBGYN Physician needed in Grand Junction, CO

WILL WAIT FOR LICENSE!

$4500-5K/Daily Rate - 24hr call coverage

• Nocturnist shifts (12 hours) and 24-hour shifts available
• Ideal availability: 4 or more 24-hour shifts or 8+ nocturnist shifts per month

Credentialing: 60-90 days

Start: ASAP - credentialing is 60-90 days

End: 12/31/25

Patient Volume: 1,230 deliveries per year, 11/ppd, 10-14 calls in 24hrs

Procedures: C-Sections, Scheduled/emergency gyn surgeries, Any/all/obgyn procedures needed for appropriate pateint care on L&D. Some scheduled surgeries are performed on the surgical floor.

EMR: EPIC

License: CO or IMLC - Will wait for a license

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, BC or BE(within 5 years residency) OBGYN

Additional Info:
Provide labor and delivery (L&D) coverage and manage GYN ED services
•     Oversee all group-related admissions and rounding (team of 8 full-time OB/GYN providers)
•     Accept and manage transfers from outside hospitals (~175 per year)
•     Handle OB ED triage (~5 triages per 24-hour shift)
•     Perform scheduled and emergent C-sections as needed
•     In 2024, our hospital handled 1,230 deliveries, with Hospitalists averaging 1–3 deliveries per shift.
•     Collaborate with a well-supported, multidisciplinary team, including:
o Backup OB/GYN available 24/7
o Certified Nurse Midwives for low-risk deliveries, C-section assist, and postpartum rounding
o Family Practice residents (always on call)
o GYN Oncology (home call, available as needed)
o MFM sonographers (available Mon-Fri) and MFM phone consult 24/7
o In-house anesthesia on L&D 24/7
o Access to Urology, General Surgery, and IR

Work alongside a Level III NICU team (deliveries 24 weeks and up)
