Pediatrician Hospitalist Needed in Arkansas

Job description

Pediatrician Hospitalist Needed in AR:
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 6 months with option for extension
Schedule: One weekend/month call coverage. Friday 5p - Monday 7a.
- Can take call from home, call response time is 30 minutes.
Work details:
Patient Volume/Type: Coverage is newborn nursery, ER Coverage, and inpatient med-ped unit
• Inpatient volume will be very small - maybe 1-2 peds total
• Newborn Nursery - Average of 5 babies over the weekend in the nursery
• ER Coverage - 2-3 calls per day, generally able to be handled over the phone
• Provider will need to round at least once daily Saturday & Sunday in the inpatient unit & the nursery, otherwise it can be phone call coverage unless they need to come in to handle the issue
• Must know how to intubate and place lines; stabilize infants in case baby needs to be shipped. Does not need to circumcise.

AR License Required (We can help license you)
Credentialing Timeframe: 4-5 Weeks
