Job description

A well-established teaching hospital in Michigan is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a 6-month, full-time inpatient assignment starting in June. This role offers a low daily caseload, strong clinical support, and the chance to work in a collaborative, academic environment focused on meaningful patient care—not volume.

Position Details:
Assignment Length: 6 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8a–5p
Setting: Inpatient, ages 5–17
Call: Shared with other providers (weeknights & weekends)
EMR: Avatar
Environment: Teaching hospital with psychiatry residents

Requirements:
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Completed Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship
Inpatient experience with children/adolescents preferred
Highlights:

Strong interdisciplinary support: psychiatrists, nurses, BCBAs, therapists, school staff
Broad treatment approach: individual, group, family therapy, OT, rec therapy, speech, and special education
