Flexible Schedule Corrections in NC

Job description

Looking for a psychiatric provider with recent corrections experience (within 5 years) to work onsite at a male-only correctional unit. This is a structured, high-need setting—but with unmatched flexibility: choose your schedule—3, 4, or 5 days per week, all weekdays, no weekends or on-call.

Key Details:

Start: June

Schedule: Your choice — 3 to 5 days/week, 8a–5p (M–F only)

Location: Onsite, adult male correctional facility

Caseload: 10–12 patients/day

Duties: Psych admissions + med management (no controlled substances)

Formulary: Must follow facility-specific medication list

Population: High-acuity psych — suicidal, psychotic, self-harm, severe drug use

Unit: Med-driven, 100% in-cell care, 1 hour/day recreation; step-down available

Requirements:

Corrections experience within past 5 years – required

Comfortable working with complex psychiatric cases in a secure environment
